Chef Berk and the Pork Coma

On a local food blog that Barry regularly reads, he won a private dinner to be prepared by a local chef in our home. Chef Berk contacted us with a few options for each of three courses. Then he showed up at our place and turned out the best meal that will ever come out of the little corner that is our kitchen. He started us with an unexpected treat - queso blanco with topped with chorizo and caramelized onion marmalade. Then on to the meal:

marrow bones stuffed with mushroom and potato
served with chard and homemade herb bread

pork belly with apple puree and broccoli rabe

apple yam doughnuts with sugar and cream

This was dinner one week ago. It seriously took me several days to recuperate from its awesome insanity. Thank you, Chef Berk.
