Utah's National Parks: Arches

Our first park visit: Arches, just outside of the town of Moab. Aptly named, the park was full of cool bridge-like rock formations.

The weather was intensely moody while we were in Arches, threatening to dump rain on us at any minute. The skies waited until we were safely tucked into our tent in a beautiful camp site on the Colorado River. Then we saw a spectacular storm, with dramatic thunder and lightening.

beautiful photos! We camped somewhere near Arches one time, but I can't remember where. So different from the East Coast. Looks like you had a fun trip!!

I'm loving looking at your photos. I camped out at Arches years ago, on a little spring break road trip out west. Good times! I fell in love with that park, it was just amazing. Heck, the scenery in Utah is jaw-droppingly beautiful. I'm sure you had a great time with your honey!

I had a bona-fide spiritual experience watching a thunder storm swoop in on us at Arches when I was 15.

Still a favorite lifetime moment.
