Multiple Personalitied Weather

In the matter of one weekend, we went from a bright Spring-like day (on which I wore open-toed shoes to work - I'm one of those annoying people who just can't wait), to a day of angry skies and pouring rain, to heavy dollops of snow this morning. I've finally learned that to live with the weather, one should get get out in the weather. (Which, unfortunately, is leading me down the slippery slope of accepting - dare I type it? - "technical" apparel into my wardrobe. But that's another post entirely, right Ambika?) So getting out into the weather is exactly what my camera and I have been doing.

post-posting edit:
thanks so much to the uber-talented Abby
for this sweetness

No you did not use "technical" while describing clothing! I never thought I would see the day. LOL. you crack me up. Happy Monday :)

I was just shaking my head, commisserating and then you got to the slippery slope and I was shaking my head for an entirely different reason. I had a long chat with a blogger from New Jersey last week and you better believe the Northwest 'style' was one of the topics.

I'm like that too! I almost took out my spring wardrobe this weekend. Instead, I'm wearing a new cardigan and gauntlets. BRR!

I love looking out my window while I'm working and seeing big fluffy snowflakes. Makes me smile. Especially since school is still open...oops did I say that out loud?

Your toe pic is too cool. I might have to reblog that. Will let you know. Thanks for the comment the other day! I miss commenting on each others blogs. I will get back to it now. Sorry for the long silence.

um. i don't know what style is anymore unless it involves heavy snow boots, a down coat and super big gloves. love these photos together. xo

I finally caved and bought a proper winter jacket this year - a big ski jacket. Not for one moment have I regretted it. It was minus 33 celcius today. So worth the cash and sacrifice of multiple cute layers.
Found you through Amandajean. Yeah! Gorgeous earrings.

On Sunday I was doing yard work with no coat on. Monday, it snowed and I was back to my down coat.

I guess this is making me appreciate the warmer weather a lot more now.

oh, Lovely photos of your home over t Abby's blog.

Dear Suzy,

Love getting up whenever, NOT going into work, and getting on sulu first thing on our computer (thanks to you and Barry)!

Our snow has finally melted alhough I don't think we've seen the last of it - remember snow on Easter - but as I write this a robin is hopping around right outside the window. Gives one hope that Spring will come!

The pictures of your apartment were wonderful - Abby did a great job - I look forward to seeing more of them!

Have a wonderful week and a great race on Sunday. Love always, Mom

- crazy question - do you have daylight saving time or are you still 3 hours behind us?? Probably could Google and get the answer.

Technical apparel allows me to walk to work in the south, where the weather changes every 5 minutes. I'll exchange a good Patagonia rain jacket for not having to drive my car any day of the week.

But I get your point.

It seems to be a wacky bunch of weather in my neck of the woods this year...it's all about the layering and going out anyway!
