What the...?

I am super anal retentive.
I weed out my closet every month or so, getting rid of things all the time.
I open mail and recycle the junk immediately.
I clean out our refrigerator and cupboards often.
I don't hold on to things I don't need or love.
In our apartment, everything has a place and everything is usually in it.
I discovered this in my desk drawer last night:

How the hell did these Halloween stickers printed in 1988 make it all the way from New York City to Portland with me?

I guess they smuggled their way across the country just in time for holloween! I wish I could be more like you. I hold onto too much...

Hahahaha! That is so funny. I had the same stickers in '88 too! Thanks for making me laugh, a nice break in this horribly monotonous day :)

Anything can happen when you're moving. During our last move I opened a box labeled "Kitchen" and found a whole bunch of my underwear!

Maybe you can give the stickers to the trick-or-treaters?

i'm just like you. Whenever we can't find something my husband accuses me of throwing it out :) I'm bet those stickers were hidden under something else OR barry is having some fun with you :)

I am S.A.R. as well. But somehow something always slips through the cracks. Like 1988 stickers or a box of plastic PennState mugs that my husband hid from me. Today is trash day and he is away. Should I toss that box? That would be rude. ;)

So are the stickers considered a trick or a treat? :) Moving is the only time I really start weeding through things. I know I have one more big move coming up (into our very own purchased home). Not looking forward to the packing/sorting.

I love this post! I wish I had just a quarter of your anal retentiveness! I think I would have a lot less clutter if I did *smile*

I love it! Maybe there is a closeted clutter bug in you - come to my side, Suz! Wasn't it such a fun treat finding those?!

Wow.... I wish I could be like you. I am too much of a hoarder and I only purge once a year.

I am with you with regards to the Mail. I dump junk mail straight to the recycling bin.

Oh man... I need to channel you.I save everything and I need to STOP.
What ever you do, don't send those stickers here or I'll still have them in 2088.

Dear Suzy,

First off, HAPPY BIRTHDAY today!

How I wish I could say you inherited that gene from me but we all know that would be a big lie! I should tell you though that since your wonderful visit in August, I have gotten somewhat better! (You know I would not be able to throw those stickers away and would probably give them to Nicholas, Martin and Mari which would put Maryanne over the edge so good thing you are strong.)

Needless to say I am so looking forward to you and Barry coming in for Thanksgiving and that should spur me on to get rid of more stuff!

Keep forgetting to tell you that I wear a pair of your earrings every day to work, helps keep you in my thoughts. Your new ones are unique and will fly out of your shop I am sure!

Hope you have a terrific, wonderful, exquisite day!!! I am marking off the calendar now until you come home! Love always, Mom

Oh man, that description sounds like me. To the point that I'll get rid of things I'll actually want later.

But those stickers--that's just hysterical.
